'...It's late and with no cigarettes for two days, the antibiotics kicking in and the thought of a further seven hours aboard this train, I'm pretty dazed. Today has been one of those days which I knew would come and now that it has, I wish it would hurry up and go. I'm thinking about home, family, Corrick, the mountains outside my window, poorly lit stations I'm passing, the trackside slums, the police checkpoints, people living on the river, the stars above - the same as you're seeing only seven hours earlier. A beer would be great, better still a SangSom Whiskey. I'm going to have to upset someone to fix this problem. The mountains outside, silhouetted against the night sky look so far away. Everyone onboard are sleeping except for me - staring out through the carriage window, looking over a half cut, sleeping Thailand. I wish I could call home and speak to mum, she'd know what to do. I need my space, albeit just for a little while. Whereas most people would want to feel the hot sands between their toes, for the first time I wish I were home...'
